Your next question is probably going to be: "What difference does it make if I have a 10mb Pal to NTSC converter or a 12 or even a 16MB converter?  That is probably the single most important thing you need to look at when purchasing a Code Free DVD Player that converts Pal to NTSC. You need to be very careful when comparing models, as all Code Free DVD Players / (Region Free DVD Players) are modified to be code free and have a Pal to NTSC converter built in. If the company you purchase from doesn't offer a lifetime guarantee like we do and doesn't say how many MB there video converters are you may not be comparing apples to apples. When purchasing a player from us you can rest assured that we use the highest quality of parts for our modifications, and we guarantee them for life.  Pal is the standard of broadcasting used in almost all the countries except for North America. Therefore if you are looking to view DVD movies from another country in the USA, they are most likely to be in the Pal format. In order to view Pal movies on a Standard TV in the USA (NTSC TV) you will need the DVD player to convert the Pal Signal to NTSC. The amount of (Megabits) MB used in the converter determines how your picture will look when you are playing movies that are Pal on your NTSC (North American) standard TV. We normally recommend at least a 8MB video converter.  If your TV is less than 27" big usually a 8mb or 10MB converter is enough to get a good picture quality.  For TVs that are 27"- 34" we normally recommend at least a 12MB video converter. And for all HD tv's, and Large screen TVs over 34" we recommend a 14MB or 16MB video converter.  If you are picky about the picture quality, going with a  16MB video converter will never hurt no matter how small your TV is.  Please remember not all code free modification are the same. When buying a dvd player modified by us, you can rest assured that the modification has been performed with the best chipsets and latest technology. That's why we can offer a lifetime all region guarantee on our modifications.  If you have a newer HDTV with DVI or HDMI inputs, please also look at dvd players with HDMI or DVI outputs to give you the best picture quality.

Please note that many people sell these players cheaper with inferior Pal to NTSC converters. We can not match their prices.

Please note that many vendors are offering the same model players with different modifications. Our modifications are 100% future proof, and provide an excellent picture quality with the highest built in Pal to NTSC converters.

Thorough Vibration-resistant Design: A variety of designs have been incorporated to suppress unwanted vibrations. The pickup mechanism is positioned at the center to reduce the effects of external vibrations. The DVD mechanism section in the main chassis has been divided in a two box construction to further protect it from vibrations.

DCDi By Faroudja: The DVD-3910's Progressive Scan technology is powered by the latest DCDi by Faroudja FLI-2310 decoding engine for the finest processing of film, video, graphics, or mixed-mode content.

MP3/WMA Playback: This unit will play MP3 and WMA files recorded onto CD-R and CD-RW discs using the ISO 9660 Level 1 format. It is recommended that MP3s be recorded with bit rates of 128 kbps or higher, and WMA files at bit rates of 64 to 160 kbps. The player can recognize up to 600 files. This unit is not compatible with ID3 tags.

Video D/A Converter: The 27MHz/10-bit video digital-to-analog (D/A) conversion ensures highly accurate playback of delicate, low-level video signals, giving you a vivid picture that is faithful in every detail. Oversampling of 4x is used for both Progressive and Interlaced video signals, allowing more detailed D/A conversion. Higher quality picture reproduction is also possible thanks to a filter with flexible shutout characteristics that is used for the analog filter in the latter stage.

Audio D/A Converter: 24-bit, 192-kHz audio D/A converter that is well protected from noise caused by fluctuations in current from the power supply. This high performance D/A converter allows not only input of the 24-bit/192 kHz data of DVD-Audio discs. Furthermore, the same DAC is used unsparingly for the surround, center and LFE channels to provide optimum sound quality during multi-channel playback as well.

Noise Shaped Video (NSV): The NSV feature works in the digital domain to reduce noise in the video signal frequency band in order to enhance video signal linearity.

The HDMI connection is compatible with DVD-Video and DVD-Audio. The video signal format can be set to 480p, 720p or 1080i.

When connected to a television with a component video input, the component video output of this unit will provide picture color and detail that is superior to video from composite and S-video outputs. The component outputs can be set to pass either progressive or interlaced video.

Buffer Memory: This unit is equipped with buffer memory to ensure that both picture and sound are played without interruption when the DVD disc shifts from layer 1 to layer 2, or in the rare event of a pickup dropout.

Picture and Fujicolor Playback: JPEG files stored on Kodak picture CDs, Fujicolor CDs, CD-Rs and CD-RWs can be played as a slide show and enjoyed.

Resume Play Memory Function: When the Stop button is pressed during DVD-Video playback, that position is stored in the memory. When the Play button is pressed after pressing the Stop button, playback resumes from the position where the disc was stopped. The resume play memory function is canceled if the disc tray is opened or the Stop button is pressed a second time.

Excellent picture, plays all my European movies

Reviewer: Memphis, TN USA

I bought this unit because I travel to Europe a lot and wanted to play Region 2 DVDs at home. This player does a great job of converting from PAL to NTSC and playing both Regions 1 & 2 (I have not tested any other Regions).

When my Dad can't get his $800 Pioneer Elite DVD player to play a DVD-RW or some other unusual disk or format he just puts it in and it plays. It has never let us down. I have made a lot of home videos on many different types of DVDs and this player has played them all.

Works great

Reviewer: New York, NY USA

Played all my Region 1, 2, 3, and 0 region movies. Played Pal on a NTSC tv with great quality. There were some CD-r discs, that it had a problem with . All mt other players had a problem with those discs too, but I can't seem to figure out why. I bought one of the best players this company sold that was a reasonable price. I thought it would play the CD-r from back home but it didn't.  It did play all the original movies I had as well as DVD-r, +r discs, JPG discs, and even the memory card slot is cool. The HD upconversion is to die for on a Plasma tv. Also I paid $349 for it a month ago, and now it's $279. I may buy one more for my Inlaws... $279 sounds like a really good price for it.

Good player, no problems, plays on my HD ready plasma with good quality.

Reviewer: Pasadena CA

Player plays all my dvd movies from different regions, and the picture and audio quality is very good. Price tag is a little high at $299, but it was exactly what I wanted. Plays every disc I put in it.

I thought the sales guy suckered me into the most expensive unit but it truly is really good

Reviewer: Orange County, CA

This player came highly recommended by the Sales guy. I also we considering the Pioneer which he said is also really good. I liked the memory card slots on this player, and didn't want the Samsung because it doesn't do divx. The sales guy said this would be the best player for me. I am happy with the player after receiving it.

Very good player

Reviewer: Chicago, IL

I use this player to play my polish dvd movies and my usa dvd movies. It works great on plasma panasonic.

Plays all region dvd movies, I like the quality, and LG makes good product

Reviewer: Jersey City, NJ

I have several LG products, and the quality is really good. The only player that I had a problem with was the LG-511. The slot in that player makes you push the disc in kind of like a cd player in a car. There is no tray that comes out; The problem with that is that thick dual layer discs get stuck. I exchanged it for this 418 model which does have a tray that comes out and I like it much better. So far I am very happy with it.
