This dvd player is modified to play all region
discs. With this dvd player you can play your
favorite movies from any country.
PAL playback on NTSC TV:
This is a special feature available on very few DVD
players. Most other region free players will play
back all region discs but if the disc is Pal you
will not be able to play it on a normal American
(NTSC) TV. This dvd player will play any disc on an
NTSC (American) TV. Unlike
many DVD players with a built in converter, this DVD
player will not stretch Pal widescreen DVD movies
when playing on an NTSC TV.

Graphical On-screen Displays: For ease of
use, this player makes extensive use of graphical
on-screen displays, including the Disc Navigator.
PureCinema Progressive Scan:
Progressive-scan video has less flicker and fewer
motion artifacts than the traditional
interlaced-scanning method, resulting in a superior
picture. To take advantage of this feature, you must
have a television with component video inputs that
supports the progressive scanning mode. The
component outputs on this unit can be set to pass
either progressive or interlaced video.
Video
D/A Converter: This player uses a
54MHz/10-bit video digital-to-analog converter. This
high-bit, high sampling D/A converter helps to
reduce digital artifacts to give you a better
picture.
Audio
D/A Converter: This unit features a
192kHz/24-bit audio digital-to-analog converter.
MP3/WMA
Playback: This unit will play MP3/WMA files
recorded onto CD-ROM, CD-R, and CD-RW discs using
the ISO 9660 level 1/level2, Romeo, or Joliet
formats. This player is not compatible with WMA
loss-less-encoding, variable bit-rate MP3/WMA files,
or multi-session recordings. Each disc can have a
maximum of 299 files, and up to 648 files and
folders combined.
JPEG Disc
Playback: This unit will play back JPEG files
recorded onto CD-ROM, CD-R, and CD-RW discs using
the ISO 9660 level 1/level2, Romeo, or Joliet
formats. Baseline JPEG and EXIF 2.2 still image
files up to 3072 x 2048 are supported. During
playback, you can use the JPEG Disc Navigator to
find a particular folder or picture by filename. You
can also locate a picture within a folder by
thumbnail image. Other available functions during
JPEG disc playback include: zoom (2x, 4x), slide
show playback, and angle adjustment, which allows
you to rotate the current image 90-degrees
clockwise.
Virtual
Surround: When playing a Dolby Digital disc,
this feature allows you to obtain a surround sound
effect from only two speakers.
Dialogue Enhancer:
The Dialogue Enhancer increases the center channel
volume (relative to other channels), making movie
dialogue easier to hear and understand.
Equalizer:
The following EQ presets are stored into memory,
allowing you to recall the
best setting for
different types of music: Rock, Pop, Live, Dance,
Techno, Classic, Soft, or Off.
Zoom:
The zoom feature can be used to enlarge any part of
the picture by 2x or 4x.
Resume Play and Last Memory: When you stop
playback of a disc, "Resume" is shown in the display
indicating that you can resume playback from that
point. For DVDs and Video CDs, if you take the disc
out of the player, the position is stored in memory
(Last Memory). The resume point is cleared when the
disc is removed from the player. For DVDs and Video
CDs, the resume/last memory point is cleared when
the Stop button is pressed more than once.
Video
Adjust Memory Presets: You can adjust the
following picture quality settings: sharpness,
brightness, contrast, gamma, hue, and chroma level.

Everytime I plaback a foriegn pal movie the
picture scrolls and is in black and white on my
tv. This player was suppose to convert Pal to
NTSC. I am very disappointed.

The player is good, it does what is mentioned,
but the picture quality is okay. Setup is a pain,
you have to set the video output to match your tv
type, and it is burried in the manual. Once you do
that, you have to set the video output to Component
if that's the cables you are using and connect 5
cables to you tv to make it work with progressive
scan. It's working for me now though. Overall 4/5

Wish I had known there is no HDMI output on this
player
I appreciate that you guys let me exchange the
player, but I think you should really warn customers
before they buy this player. Most new TVs give you
the best quality with HDMI output, however this
player doesn't have it. You guys should put
something on the page saying that this player
doesn't have that, so customers know what is going
on.
