Looking for a Toshiba region free dvd player but
confused on which one to get? There are so many
options out there it is hard to make a decision, and
every website seems to offer something slightly
different. Currently there are many Toshiba models
being sold in the market that are region free. Toshiba
makes models for different parts of the world and gives
different model numbers for each player. Many players
being sold as region free are imports which are modified
for region free and then sold here in the USA. Others
are USA models that are modified and sold as region
free. Most websites don't bother to share this
information with their customers, but after our techs
have opened and analyzed the quality of all these
players, we have found that this information is vital to
make a educated decision on which one to go with.
Some imports are a little cheaper then the USA
models as most of the time they are made slightly
inferior to USA models. However there are some models of
imports which are pretty good as well. The USA models
are generally made with better features and more
expensive parts just because the manufacturers know that
consumers in the USA are generally looking for a good quality
unit and willing to pay a little extra, while many imports from other parts of the world
are made with cheaper parts and are intended for sale in
those countries at cheaper prices. Below is a useful list of Toshiba model dvd players that we carry and that we stock. We have
listed important aspect of the player to help you choose
which is right for you and have also listed the average
rating our techs have given to these players out of 10.
Our techs have opened, tested, and reviewed each player
to help you make a educated decision.

many standard features such as progressive-scan
component-video outputs and built-in decoding for MP3
music files, as well as JPEG image CD playback so you
can enjoy digital slideshows right in the living room.
It also converts any-region-encoded PAL-formatted discs
(the standard in Europe) for viewing on standard NTSC
televisions used in North America. It's a good choice
for an entry level player for a basic TV setup.

playback of PAL movies on a NTSC TV. Basically this

A good player

This is a good option for older NON HD TV's. Easy
hook up, comes with the yellow, red and whit cables, and works
good. Picture quality is not as good as my other player which
is the Pioneer DV-400V-K hooked up to my plasma tv, but for the
TV I'm using it on I can't complain.
Works good

Just wanted to thank you guys for such a wonderful
product. It played all our dvd movies from Europe which

a snap.
Plays region 2 pal no problem
Reviewer: (Thousand Oaks,
CA)
I searched fore ages for a player that would play my
region 2 pal movies on a NTSC tv here in CA. I bought
one, before but it didn't work, everything came out
black and white. Then the store I bought it from told me
that I need to buy another video converter to go with
it. Finally I found you guys and bought this player. For
the price I couldn't go wrong. It plays all my movies,
it was easy to hook up, and I was impressed by the speed
of your delivery. I received the player 2 days after
ordering and it was professionally packaged. Great job
guys.
Awesome player

Shipped fast, especially with international shipping. I
paid $39 for the FedEx air delivery, with customs
brokerage included. It was here in 3 days. Player works
excellent. Since the Canadian Dollar is higher then the
USA dollar now, it was a great deal. My Greek movies
play perfectly on here. Thanks and keep up the good work
Looks and Works perfectly

Excellent player; wife was happy with the design with
the glossy black finish and the silver strip, looks very
classy. I was happy since it played all our Region 2 Pal
movies from the UK.
A good player
Reviewer: (Pittsburg, CA)
Fast shipping, was double boxed and very professionally
packed. Shipping was fast and it does everything they say.
Wish it had HDMI output for my new LCD TV. I'm going to put it
in the basement with my older TV and going to buy your Pioneer
Dv-400 with HDMI.
