Toshiba's slim, affordable SD-770 Region Free dvd player has many standard features such as progressive-scan component-video outputs and built-in decoding for MP3 music files, as well as JPEG image CD playback so you can enjoy digital slideshows right in the living room. It also converts any-region-encoded PAL-formatted discs (the standard in Europe) for viewing on standard NTSC televisions used in North America. It's a good choice for an entry level player for a basic TV setup.

Although it will work on newer LCD, Plasma, DLP, and other TV's, you may want to look at our HD upconverting HDMI output players for if you own a newer TV or are looking to upgrade your current TV in the near future.  Another upgraded option is the Pioneer DV-400V-K which type of features and it has HDMI output.
